Silica brick for coke oven is a kind of acid refractory material made from tridymite, cristobalite, little remnant quartz and glass phase. The SiO2 content in it is more than 96%. Silica brick for coke oven is of acid slag corrosion resistance, higher using temperature, non-deformation by long-term use under high temperature which prolongs its life span by 7 or 8 years.

 

Features:

1. High softening temperature with load - Silica brick for coking furnace can bear the dynamic load of coal charging car under high temperature and can be used for long time without deformation.

2. High thermal conductivity – The coke is refined of coking coal by heat conduction of firing chamber wall in carbonization chamber, so the silicon bricks in the walls of firing chamber are of higher thermal conductivity. In the temperature scope of coking firing chamber, the thermal conductivity of silicon brick is higher than those of fire clay brick and high alumina brick. The thermal conductivity of dense Silica brick for coke oven is 10%~20% higher than ordinary Silica brick for coke oven.

3. Good thermal vibration under high temperature. The periodic coal charging and coking of coking furnace bring drastic change of temperature of silicon brick at both sides of firing chamber. Severe cracking or spalling won't be caused in the normal operation temperature wave range, because the Silica brick for coke oven is of good thermal vibration resistance above 600℃.

4. Stable bulk under high temperature. Under normal operation of coking furnace, the temperature is not lower than 600℃, the brickwork won't change too much, its stability and leakproofness can be kept for a long period.

Application:

It is mainly used in the partition walls of carbonization chamber and firing chamber of coke oven, heat regenerator chamber of steelmaking open hearth furnace, slag pocket, soaking pit furnace, glass melting furnace, arch crown and other weight bearing area of ceramic kiln and other kilns. It's also applied in weight bearing area at high temperature and arch crown of acid open hearth furnace.
